Wright State Physicians group launches online Patient Portal
(February 1, 2012) Wright State Physicians (WSP) has partnered with athenahealth® to launch an online portal that gives its patients a secure, 24-hour, web-based way to schedule appointments, retrieve test results and communicate with their physicians' offices.
Larry Lawhorne, M.D., selected for new Innovation Advisors Program
(January 24, 2012) Larry Lawhorne, M.D., professor and chair of geriatrics in the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, has been selected to participate in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation Advisors Program. The initiative, launched by the CMS Innovation Center in October 2011, will help health professionals deepen skills that will drive improvements to patient care and reduce costs. Lawhorne is one of 73 individuals from 27 states and the District of Columbia, and one of only three in Ohio, participating in the Innovation Advisors Program.
Wright State Physicians medical office and sports medicine building to open in June
(January 13, 2012) A new medical office and sports medicine building being constructed on the Wright State University campus will open ahead of schedule, with the first tenants moving in in June, according to officials of Wright State Physicians (WSP), the region's largest multi-specialty group. The facility will provide much-needed medical care for the residents of Clark, Montgomery and Greene Counties.
Wright State Physicians group breaks ground for medical office building on WSU campus
(June 21, 2011) The region's largest multi-specialty group, Wright State Physicians (WSP), held a groundbreaking ceremony today for a new medical office building on the campus of Wright State University. The new medical office and sports medicine facility will provide much-needed medical care for the residents of Clark, Greene and Montgomery Counties. The new building will offer a full array of physician care, including new neurology and sports medicine practices, as well as the existing practices in orthopedics, family medicine, geriatrics and dermatology.
